Terms of Service

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocReplica ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocReplica is a web application that converts photos and scans of documents into editable HTML replicas using AI-powered vision and reconstruction technology. The Service includes document upload, AI processing, HTML generation, and PDF export capabilities.

3. User Accounts

  • You must create an account to use DocReplica. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload documents containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
  • Use the Service to process documents you do not have the right to digitize or reproduce.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal usage.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage quotas or rate limits.
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.

5. Lawful Use and No Affiliation

  • Fraud is prohibited. Providing altered, fabricated, or otherwise inaccurate information to mislead any person, business, or government body is fraud and may be a criminal offense. You are solely responsible for how you use any output generated by the Service.
  • No affiliation. DocReplica is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any company, bank, government agency, educational institution, or other organization whose documents you upload or reconstruct. For official documents, you must contact the original issuer.
  • Ownership requirement. You must be the original owner of, or otherwise authorized to reproduce, every document you upload. By uploading a document, you represent that you have the legal right to do so.
  • Permitted purposes. The Service is intended for personal record-keeping, accessibility, archival, educational, and similar legitimate purposes. It is not intended to produce counterfeit documents, forged identification, or any material used to deceive third parties.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe is using the Service for fraudulent or unlawful purposes, and to cooperate with law enforcement as required.

6. Intellectual Property and Content License

You retain ownership of the documents you upload and the content within them. By uploading documents, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, transmit, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service — including sending your documents to third-party AI services for processing. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account.

The DocReplica service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service.

7. Subscription Plans and Payment

  • DocReplica offers paid subscription plans with varying features and usage quotas.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.

8. AI Processing and Accuracy

DocReplica uses AI technology to reconstruct documents. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated outputs may contain errors or imperfections. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all generated content before relying on it. The Service is not a substitute for professional document transcription where exact accuracy is required.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocReplica and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DocReplica and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data following termination by contacting support.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms otherwise remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
